Our common goal is the celebrate the lives of our children and to ultimately help each other with the healing process. Each person’s experience with grief is unique and a reflection of their personal lives, circumstances, and beliefs. There is no “wrong” way to grieve and everyone arrives at new levels of healing when it is appropriate for them. We are together to share our memories, moments of grief and challenges but also, at whatever level we can, share the understanding that it is not only acceptable but is possible to embrace life, love, and joy again!

The Helping Parents Heal Mission: Helping Parents Heal is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting parents who have lost children, giving them support and resources to aid in the healing process. We go a step beyond other groups by allowing the open discussion of spiritual experiences and evidence of the afterlife, in a non-dogmatic way. Affiliate groups such as ours in Northeast Ohio, welcome everyone regardless of religious (or non-religious) background and allow for open dialogue. We receive all and do not judge people on their children on the basis of life choices. Our coming together with this shared experience is done with an open heart and respect for all individual experiences of grief, inspiration or encounter.
